| CNC Production Machine, a California based machine shop/job shop was founded in 1987, which prior to that operated in Los Angeles, CA for 20 years under the name Delta Fabricators, a prominent supplier to the aerospace and defense industries. Larry and Mary Ann Nachtmann, company founders have been in the machine shop/fab business for 36 years. In early 2003 company founder and industry legend Larry Nachtmann fell ill and passed away. At that time, son Chris Nachtmann, production manager at the time took over the leadership duties of the company. In late 2004 Mary Ann Nachtmann, Co-Founder decided to take her much deserved and overdue retirement. At that same time Chris Nachtmann took the biggest gamble a well-established company could ever take, moving the company and not just moving down the street, he moved it |

across the country to Lincolnton , NC . January 2005 is when CNC Performance Engineering was born. The company now has 9 employees and although is still a job shop, it also has its sights set on becoming a major player in the manufacturing of aftermarket automotive parts and servicing the racing industries such as the NHRA, NASCAR and the World Of Outlaws.
About the owner
Chris Nachtmann a, California native has been involved in the machine shop business and drag racing all of his life. There are stories of father Larry having Chris running CNC mills at only 7 years old. Chris also has a passion for motor sports. From 1996 to 2002 Chris actually left the family business to pursue a career as a professional crewmember in drag racing. He found great success, winning 19 races and 2 championships in the Top Fuel Class as well as having the opportunity of working with sport greats such as Doug Herbert, Gary Scelzi and Alan Johnson. Chris has also manufactured and designed Top Fuel Clutch units that have enjoyed much success on the race track. With new CNCPE Drag Racing products being added monthly, the company will most certainly become a major component supplier to many NHRA and IHRA teams for years to come. Chris now resides in Huntersville , NC with lovely wife Dayna and beautiful daughters Brooke and newest addition to the family Summer. Dayna is a registered nurse and was very close to accomplishing her pre-med status in college when she put it all on the back burner to become more active in the company. She now handles all of the accounting and runs the day to day operations in the office.
